Akpabio denies collapsing, says he only had malaria mixed with stress

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has described his reported collapse Thursday after the Colloquium marking his 61st birthday at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja as “Malaria mixed with stress”. 

Akpabio whose office invited journalists when some Senators paid a sympathy visit on him at his office in the National Assembly, alluded to work fatigue as Senate President.

It will be recalled that a section of the media reported on Thursday that Senator Akpabio collapsed at the venue for his birthday colloquium while seeing-off the President, Bola Tinubu.

However, Akpabio told journalists that his doctor’s saw him for what he called “malaria mixed with stress”.
