Mushin Constituency 1 Legislative Aide Wins Lagos Assembly Best Award

Miss Ibrahim Rasheedat Bisola, a legislative officer for Honourable Prince Nureni Akinsanya, representing Mushin Constituency 1, has been honored with the 2023 Best Officer Award in the Legislative Aides Staff Category of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

She was selected as the top nominee in her category at the 21st Annual Thanksgiving and End of the Year Party organized by the Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday.

Speaking earlier, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Obasa said the Lagos State House of Assembly has become the most successful state parliament in Nigeria because it relied on God.

According to him, as we gather here today, we must acknowledge the incredible progress we have made as an assembly and as individuals throughout the year.

“We have worked tirelessly, with dedication and integrity, to ensure that the needs and aspirations of our constituents are met. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us that if we commit our work to the Lord, our plans will succeed.

However, Honourable Akinsanya expressed his appreciation to the Distinguished Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa, for providing the opportunity for honorable members and their staff, along with their families, to gather and celebrate the joyous yuletide season while also recognizing outstanding performance.

“I am thrilled and honored that my staff has won this award in 2023. It signifies the importance of legislative aides and their exceptional contributions. I am grateful to our Speaker, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, for this initiative,” he commented.

He also encouraged the award recipients to remain committed and passion-driven for the improvement of legislative performance in the 10th Assembly.

Miss Rasheedat Abisola expressed her gratitude to her principal for his support and encouragement throughout her duties.

“It has been a challenging but rewarding journey. I am glad to have been recognized and awarded. I want to thank God and my boss, Hon. Nureni Akinsanya. May God continue to bless him, and may his seasons be fruitful,” she concluded.

The event, chaired by the Distinguished Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa, was attended by the First Lady of Lagos, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, traditional rulers and political leaders, eminent personalities, LAHA management staff, and family members.

The highlight of the event was the performance of carols that resonated with the attendees and concluded with a Thanksgiving ceremony.
