The Community Outreach for Development and Welfare Advocacy (CODWA) has condemned the alleged abduction of Sankara, Lenin, and 3 others by the Department of Security Services (DSS).
Executive Director, CODWA, Taiwo Otitolaye in a press release stressed that the abduction of Comrades SANKARA, Michael Lenin and 3 others exposes Tinubu’s mission to torture and kill perceived opposition.
He said,”The Community Outreach for Development and Welfare Advocacy (CODWA) strongly condemn the invasion of (SANKARA) Babatunde Oluajo’s residence at Abuja and his subsequent abduction, including Michael Lenin and 3 others by the Department of Security Services (DSS) on Monday 5th of August 2024.
“Our press statement of 4th August 2024 reacting to the hollow address and tacit approval of president Bola Tinubu on the killings and brutal treatments against peaceful protesters to #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria by the Nigerian security agencies clearly stated that Tinubu is telling the whole world that his government represents a fascist regime; and that the killings displayed by the Nigerian Police during the peaceful protests are rehearsals of what is to come.
“This abduction of Comrades SANKARA, Michael Lenin and 3 others reminiscences the Hermann Göring 1933 Gestapo of the Nazis, the secret state police with the mission to ” torture and kill” perceived opposition.
“While president Bola Tinubu has consistently pretend to be a democrat, revealations of the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceInNigrria have vividly unveiled Tinubu’s true nature. The Leopard cannot change her spots, it will eventually show its characteristics.”
Otitolaye stated that the president and his regime have heated up the civic space in the entire country despite the facts that the country is already thrown into hunger, sufferings, an enclave of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and uncertainty.
“The president cannot continue to “RULE” NIGERIA LIKE A PERSONAL EMPIRE.
“This style of governance will not work!
“This is the reasonable time for president Bola Tinubu to change his self impose regime of political manoeuvering to suit few and foreign interests against the majority of NIGERIANS.
“We demand the immediate and unconditional release of the duo of Babatunde Oluajo, Michael Linin and 3 others who were abducted by the state.
“We highly condemn the use of State apparatuses to oppress the civic space and the citizenry,” Otitolaye stated.
