Dawari George’s ticket not in jeopardy – Official

Spokesman for Dr. Dawari Ibietela George, Bekee Anyalewechi has said his ticket as the Rivers state governorship candidate in the Action Alliance Party is not in jeopardy.

Anyalewechi made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday.

He said,”Against what we suspected to be the public’s expectations on the legal matters instituted by certain persons against the Rivers’ governorship candidate in the Action Alliance, AA, Dr. Dawari Ibietela George, the candidate’s Legal Team, having executed a thorough study of the matters have advised that – 

“First, since the matters are pending before a competent court of jurisdiction, it’d be inappropriate to bring them to the court of public opinion. 

“Two, their legal opinion is that the cases pose no threat to the candidate.

“That being a law-abiding citizen, with an untainted respect for the Nigerian Judiciary and the Judicial System, Dr. Dawari Ibietela George has advised that restraints be applied as not to be seen to be stampeding or attempting to meddle in the court’s processes towards justice.

“Dr. Dawari Ibietela George would not want to, in any manner, conduct his direct or delegated actions in a manner preposterous of the Honourable Court’s ability to adjudicate righteously on the matters.

“But that beyond and above all, the TWO cases do not deserve any attention as they are nothing but orchestrated boobytraps to divert the attention of Dr. Dawari Ibietela George and his Campaign Organisation from the goal which is his inevitable victory in the governorship election on March 12, 2023.”

Anyalewechi advised all supporters, lovers and campaigners for Dr. Dawari Ibietela George not to lose sleep over the matters.

“They are rather  respectfully advised to intensify their efforts in driving the #ItsMorningagain message to the nooks and crannies of Rivers State, and in the Diaspora. 

“Finally, Dr. Dawari Ibietela George extends his gratitude to the numerous Rivers citizens and residents who called to share their solidarity with him. His message to them is to focus on the goal as he is certain of eventual, electoral victory through the grace of God and the support of millions of Rivers people,” he said.
